Ingredients

  • 200 g lotus root washed, peeled, and finely chopped
  • 300 g pork 70% lean, 30% fat, finely chopped
  • 50 g carrot diced
  • 50 g corn
  • 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions

Prepare the Ingredients:

  • Wash and peel the lotus root, then finely chop it.
  • Chop the pork finely, and cut the carrot into small dice.

Mix the Ingredients:

  • In a large bowl, combine the chopped lotus root, pork, carrot, and corn.
  • Add the light soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, salt, and cornstarch to the mixture.
  • Use your hands to mix everything evenly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  • Transfer the mixture to a plate and press it flat to form an even patty.

Steam the Patty:

  • Bring a pot of water to a boil.
  • Place the plate with the pork patty into the pot.
  • Steam over medium-high heat for 15 minutes.
